The air conditioning turned off automatically every 3 hours so woke up hot 2 times each night. Not what I would expect to be honest. The chocolate thing 3-4pm was worth wile, great view from up there. Breakfast is buffet, the waiter didn’t …

Lovely staff and great facilities. I skeptical staying at a Ice cream branded hotel, but we had a lovely experience. Walking distance to Spark Arena. If I'm looking for a downdide, if was that the light on the aircon panel didn't switch off during use. It was bright in the room so we switched it off. Lovely hotel. We'd definitely go back.

Nice well fitted room. Comfy beds and pillows. Ask for higher than floor six if you want a view of the harbour. Bar upstairs is nice and breakfast was good. Give valet plenty of notice, >15mins otherwise you'll be waiting for your car.

Not what you would expect for a 5 stars hotel!! Having to pay even for a simple bottle of water, I find that a bit too much!! Dressing gown with huge holes in them. Great location but could be better regarding the rest.

I was invited to stay with family as they came for the night, the rooms are fantastic! We had 2 corner rooms on the 11th floor and the views were great - you can see down to the street from one room, and out to the ocean from the other. Both rooms were clean and comfy and we had an ensemble of treats to devour upon arrival. We enjoyed dinner at the Korean fusion restaurant upstairs and the food was amazing! The staff are extremely welcoming and hospitable. The breakfast was the best part - buffet of tasty food, and the morning sun made it a fantastic combo. 5/5 would recommend.

Apart from the location, I was expecting more from a purported 5 star hotel. The room was small and stuffy. Servicing of the room wasn't done until late in the afternoon (after 4pm) which interrupted our return from day trips on multiple occasions. Breakfast was awful - on check in we were advised the service started at 6. We had an early start one day and couldn't get up to the restaurant floor. On questioning this at the front desk, we were rudely told it didn't start until 6.30. No apology or shred of customer service. The offerings at breakfast were poor, scrambled eggs were sloppy & all of the hot food selections were lukewarm at best. Attempting to avail ourselves to special amenities, we tried the "chocolate hour" one day. Another disappointing sad display of a handful of sweets.

Felt bad for the staff as they were understaffed over the holidays but doing their very best! Rooms were clean and simple. Could have included some water as a nice touch or some festive goodies seeing as we stayed on Christmas

Staying at the Movenpick now and felt the need to write an immediate review. Location is great, with good access to shops and restaurants. But that's all I can say about it. Service level is erratic depending on the individual. Checked in late and there was only 1 person in the WHOLE hotel. No bag service, no room food/sundae service as was proudly touted despite claims that it is 24/7 service. There was NO service. We went out at 2pm next day, returned at 6pm and no housekeeping was done. When we called to inquire, was told that they had left work already. Tried to order the choc fondue platter was told by 1 person no but was told by another yes. I have 2 more nights here, hopefully it will improve but will not have high hopes. This is not what I expect from a so called luxury hotel. Very disappointing.
